When you upgrade from a Basic membership to Essential, your account unlocks 4 self‑serve refreshes per year.
Refreshes let you update an existing report with the most recent available financial data. Refreshing is fully self‑serve within your account, and each time you use a refresh, one refresh is deducted from your annual allotment.

How Self‑Serve Refreshing Works
All refreshes are initiated directly from your account — no support request is needed.
Basic Members
You can refresh a report once
After your refresh is used:
The refresh button becomes disabled (greyed out)
No additional self‑serve refreshes are available unless you upgrade
You will still be able to complete client requests that come in throughout the year
Essential Members
You can refresh reports up to 4 times per year
Each refresh deducts one from your available total
The refresh button remains active until all 4 refreshes are used

Regardless of whether you used a refresh on Basic, upgrading to Essential gives you 4 refreshes available immediately.
What Happens When You Upgrade
Once your upgrade to Essential is complete:
Your account is updated to 4 available refreshes
The refresh button becomes active again (if previously disabled)
Your remaining refresh count updates automatically after each use
Example:
If you upgrade to Essential and use one refresh, you’ll have 3 refreshes remaining for the rest of your membership year.

On your account homepage, or
When starting a refresh on an existing report (before confirming)

Frequently Asked Questions
Do unused refreshes roll over?
No. Refreshes reset at the start of each membership year and do not carry over.
Can I refresh more than once on Basic?
No. Basic includes one self‑serve refresh. After it’s used, the refresh button is disabled unless you upgrade to Essential.
What happens if I upgrade partway through the year?
As soon as you upgrade, you’ll have 4 self‑serve refreshes available, even if you already used one on Basic.
