Can I accept a FastTrack invitation if I already have an FHR Exchange account?

You don't need to create a new account — sign in with your existing FHR Exchange credentials to accept the invitation

Yes. If you already have an FHR Exchange account and your client sends you a FastTrack invitation, you can accept it by signing in to your existing account. You do not need to create a new account, and you should not create one. Signing in with your existing account is the correct path and ensures the share is linked to your current Financial Health Rating (FHR).

What Happens When You Open a FastTrack Link

A FastTrack invitation from a client arrives as a link. Opening the link takes you to a registration page that begins with an email entry step.

When you enter your email address and continue, the platform checks whether that email is already associated with an FHR Exchange member account. Two outcomes are possible from this point:

  • Your email matches an existing account. You will see an alert banner confirming that the platform has recognized your account. You will be given the option to sign in rather than register.

  • Your email does not match an existing account. The standard FastTrack registration flow continues, and you will be guided through creating your account.

The article below covers the first case.

The Sign-In Path for Existing Members

When the platform recognizes your email as an existing member account, the registration page changes to show an account-found state. You will see two buttons: Continue and Sign in. Either takes you to the login page for FHR Exchange. Enter your existing password to authenticate.

Once you sign in successfully, three things happen automatically:

  1. The FastTrack share is created between your company and the client who sent the invitation, using your existing account and your current released FHR.

  2. Your client immediately receives visibility of your FHR in accordance with your existing sharing settings.

  3. You are redirected to your Member Home page, where you can see the new sharing relationship reflected in your dashboard.

No further action is required from you to complete the FastTrack request. You do not need to submit financials again, upload documents, or repeat any part of the rating process. Your existing rating is what gets shared.

Why You Should Not Create a Second Account

Creating a duplicate account when you already have one causes several problems. Your existing rating and history are not carried across, so the client would not receive your current FHR through the new account. Duplicate accounts also fragment your company's presence on the FHR Exchange, which can cause confusion for other clients who share your company between them. If you are unsure whether your company already has an account, contact Member Services before starting a new registration.

If You Do Not Remember Your Password

Use the standard password reset link on the login page. Once you have reset your password and signed in, the FastTrack share will be created automatically as described above. The invitation does not expire while you complete a password reset, and you do not need to return to the original FastTrack link.

If Sign-In Fails

If you enter incorrect credentials, you will see an error and be returned to the login prompt. Repeated failed attempts may lock your account temporarily. If you cannot recover access, contact Member Services and we will help you regain access to your existing account rather than create a new one.

If sign-in succeeds but the share is not created — a rare technical failure — you will see a clear error message rather than a silent failure. Contact Member Services and reference the client and the date of the invitation, and we will complete the share manually.

If Your Work Email Has Changed Since You Registered

The email address on your existing FHR Exchange account is the one the pre-flight check compares against. If your work email has changed since you registered — for example, following a domain change or a company rebrand — the pre-flight check may not recognize you and may route you to standard registration. Do not proceed with a new registration in this case. Contact Member Services and we will update the email on your existing account so that future FastTrack invitations recognize you correctly.

What Your Client Sees

Your client sees the same completed FastTrack outcome regardless of whether you were a new registrant or an existing member. The share appears in their portal with your company's current FHR. From the client's perspective, the invitation has been accepted and the rating is available.
